Five vehicles involved in illegal mining seized

JAMMU, Nov 7: Continuing its drive against the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which dedicated police team of police stations Jhajjar Kotli and Bagh-e-Bahu and police post Phallain Mandal raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized five different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
“While a tipper bearing registration number JK02AX-0947 was seized by a team of police station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Devinder Singh, the team of police station Bagh-e-Bahu led by SHO Inspector Kirti Sharma seized a tipper bearing registration number JK02BL-7457. The team of police post Phallain Mandal led by Incharge Inspector Anil Kumar also seized three tractors without registration numbers,” police sources said.
The mining was being done in violation of the order of High Court of J&K, sources added.
