5 women thieves arrested for stealing goods of Smart City Project

JAMMU, Nov 8: Bus Stand Police solved the theft case of goods meant for Smart City Project by arresting five women.
As per police sources, on June 1 this year, some unknown persons stole concrete vibrator, welding machine and cable wire from the store room of Jammu Smart City Project at BC Road.
On this, a case FIR Number 42/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Bus Stand Jammu and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, team from Police Station Bus Stand led by SHO Inspector Deepankar Singh under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu and SP City Mohita Sharma on the basis of CCTV footage all the unidentified ladies were identified and arrested accordingly.
The arrested ladies were identified as Bimla, wife of Raju, Bindu, wife of Mukesh, Kavita Devi, wife of Ricky Kumar, Mohini, wife of Suraj Prakash and Sunita, wife of Vijay, all residents of Rajeev Nagar near Narwal District Jammu.
On their disclosure, the aforesaid stolen items were recovered.
Further questioning of the arrested ladies is going to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
