RS PURA, Nov 8: Gurdeep Singh Saini, Sarpanch of Panchayat Gandli, RS Pura and general secretary of All J&K Panchayat Conference today started the work of boundary wall of cremation ground at village Gandli in RS Pura on Monday.
While addressing the gathering, Gurdeep Singh Saini, who is also the general secretary of All Jammu Kashmir Panchayat Conference, said that this was the long pending demand of the area which has been fulfilled today. He informed that apart from this, good soil will also be filled in the cremation ground, on which a total amount of Rs 4 lakh will be spent.
Saini said that the condition of the cremation ground was not up to the mark and many people also complained about the same. So, keeping in view the interests of public and place being of utmost importance for the society, the work had to be taken up. He stated that such places hold an importance in our culture and it should be our priority to keep such places in a good condition as people in large number visit such places daily and it should be our duty to provide every type of assistance to public at such spots.
Sarpanch said that steps are being constantly taken for the development and betterment of the Panchayat and the promises made to the people are also being fulfilled. He assured the people of the Panchayat that the pace of development will continue in the Panchayat in the coming days too.
Saini said that he will leave no stone unturned to ensure that his Panchayat gets fully developed and further added that crematorium should be properly equipped with all necessary facilities. He hoped that the work will be paced up in coming days and all the problems confronted by the people at the crematorium will get addressed very soon.
