JAMMU, Nov 9: Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, Jammu and Kashmir Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has slammed Kashmir based politicians for adding fuel to fire instead of playing adequate role in maintaining peace in the Valley.
In a statement issued here, today, Sethi said that it is these Kashmir based political leaders who are wholly and solely responsible for the present Kashmir scenario. He lamented that the attitude of these leaders deserves strongest condemnation as not as single amongst them condemns Pakistan for exporting terrorism to the Valley and India while as they keep on parroting 24X7 for initiating dialogue with Pakistan.
Sethi said that what could be more astonishing than the fact that not a single political leader attended the Janazah of a salesman killed in a terrorist attack in Srinagar yesterday. He said that the Kashmiri leaders have never risen to the occasion to play the deserving and adequate role to establish peace but instead they have always added fuel to the fire. They sympathasize with mere lip service and practically do everything only to safeguard their own vested interests. However the people of the Valley have understood their real motives and can easily see through their game plans to enrich themselves least bothering about the people who elect them for the overall welfare of the people and the Union Territory, he added.
Sethi appealed to the people of Kashmir to remain cautious against the ulterior motives of such leaders and not get misled by the so called well wisher political leaders of Kashmir. He asked them to extend wholehearted support to the Bharatiya Janata Party which is relentlessly working day and night for maintaining peace in the terrorism traumatized Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory.
