Srinagar, Nov 10 : A policeman and a civilian were injured in a grenade blast at Aalimasjid area of Eidgah in Srinagar this evening.

Militants hurled a grenade near CRPF’s 161 battalion camp, injuring a policeman who was in civvies and on leave besides civilian.
The civilian identified as Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, 41, son of Gulam Nabi Bhat of Hawal and the policeman, Sajad Ahmad Bhat of Narwara Eidgah. They were shifted to SHMS hospital for treatment.
The civilian has an injury in the left side of face and left arm while the policeman has suffered injuries in left foot. “Their condition is stable,” police said.
Senior police and security forces officials rushed to the area and searches were conducted for the militants responsible for the blast.
