Congress committed to fight against injustice: PCC chief

BANDIPORA, Nov 14: The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president Ghulam Ahmad Mir today urged the people to join Congress Party in the fight against wrong policies of BJP Govt at the Centre.
Mir made these comments while launching `Jan Jagran Abhiyaan’  in a large public meeting at Bandipora on Sunday. Congress Party launched Jan Jagran Abhiyaan which was party’s nationwide programme, aiming to register its strong protest, besides highlighting the unprecedented price hike, unemployment, economic crisis and various other issues concerning common people under BJP rule.
Addressing the massive public gathering, Mir urged the people to join Congress Party in the fight against the Centre’s anti people policies, misrule and mismanagement, which were responsible for pushing people to the wall.
Mir said BJP Govt at the Centre was punishing people under the garb of unprecedented price hike, while as  a few Corporate houses were earning thousands of crores every month, but the common people were economically hit.
He said Congress will aware the people about what the Centre Govt was doing for the sake of benefitting Corporate houses who were growing rich day by day and common people becoming poorer, while seeking people’s cooperation in the fight against the BJP’s anti people policies.
Mir also urged the party workers to gear up for the challenges and extend their activities in every nook and corner of J&K, besides reaching out to people with the party’s policies and programmes.
JKPCC president expressed serious concern over deteriorating security situation in J&K and blamed the Govt for failing to ensure peaceful atmosphere, laying emphasizes over ensuring safety of people.
Senior leaders Haji Abdul Rashid, Gulzar Ahmad Wani, Bashir Ahmad Magrey, Surinder Singh Channi, Imtiyaz Parray, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, Sahil Farooq and Abdul Gani Khan also addressed the public meeting.
On this occasion, a large number of political workers from Bandipora joined Congress Party under the leadership of GA Mir and vowed to work for the Party.
