JTC, SKF protest enters 408th day

JAMMU, Nov 14: The protest demonstration launched by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti Township near Nagrota entered 408th day today.
The protest is being held under the chairmanship of president JTC and SKF Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the protesters Pandita said that the Government should not force the package employees to attend their duties in Kashmir Valley which is very dangerous for the package employees because the situation in Kashmir Valley is not conducive.
Pandita said package employees want to perform their duties in Kashmir Valley for this ten townships should be set up in 10 districts in Kashmir Valley where they get security which the Government had promised to them. They should be given online work so that they can perform their duties smoothly, he added and should not be forced to join duties till the situation returns normal and their salaries should be paid as soon as possible.
Pandita also urged the Government to increase the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month.
He further demanded package of 20,000 jobs be given to displaced Pandits and one job each should be given to every household first who has no serving employee. Besides, three satellite townships should be built in Kashmir Valley near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits.
