POONCH, Nov 14: The Police today arrested a drunk driver of a passenger bus and seized bus along with liquor after Station House Officer Poonch was informed about the matter through phone call by a passenger.
Reports said a bus nearing registration number, JK02AH- 5571 was on its way from Poonch to Surankote. The police party from Poonch after receiving information chased the bus and intercepted at Bhainch on Poonch Jammu highway and took the drunk driver into custody. The bus was also seized.
Station House Officer Poonch said that Police was informed by one of the passengers in the bus after which a team proceeded and chased the bus on way towards Surankote. He said that Police took driver into custody, shifted him to local hospital for medical examination and seized bus along with 10 to 12 quarters of liquor. He said a case has been registered in this connection.
