SAMBA, Nov 15: A lady died while her husband got injured in a road accident near Maheshwar Army Camp on Jammu -Pathankot National Highway here, today.
The accident took place when the couple from Ghagwal was coming from their house for some work towards Samba on Scooty bearing Registration Number JK21C- 2616 that suddenly an unknown vehicle nit the two wheeler near Maheshwar in Samba after which both of them were seriously injured. With the help of local people and police they were brought to the District Hospital Samba where the woman was declared dead by the doctor while her husband is undergoing treatment, which is said to be out of danger.
The deceased woman has been identified as Vijay Lakshmi (55) wife Ashwani Kumar who was seriously injured. They are residents Ghagwal. In this context, the police have started further investigation and registered a case under relevant sections of the law. The police have started search for the unknown vehicle and driver. The body has been handed over to the relatives for the last rites after postmortem at DH Samba.
