JAMMU, Nov 15: Additional Sessions Judge Kathua Kamlesh Pandit has rejected the bail application of one Raj Kumar, an alleged narco smuggler who was nabbed with 80 kilograms of poppy straw.
“The menace of drugs in the Indian society has taken to the roots of Indian culture and there is no doubt that release of accused in a case of narcotic contraband involving commercial quantity will leave an adverse impact on the psyche of the society”, the court said, adding “the illegal trafficking and trade in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances has posed potential threat to the whole society as it is eating the very vitals of the society”.
