Burglary case solved, 3 held; stolen property recovered

SRINAGAR Nov 15: Police in Budgam today said to have solved a burglary case by arresting three accused persons involved in the commission of the crime and recovering stolen property from their possession.
On 13/11/2021, as per police, Police Post Humhama received a written complaint from one person namely Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Dar of Humhama stating therein that some unknown thief/thieves have stolen golden ornaments from his residential house.
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 340/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in PS Budgam and investigation was initiated,” police said.
It said that during the investigation, officers taking advantage of modern techniques and gadgets were able to zero in one suspect identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Dar and during questioning officers learnt about his involvement in the commission of crime along with two more accomplices identified as Tawfeeq Ahmed Bhat son of Sanaullah Bhat resident of Tangpora Batamaloo and Meenamul Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmed Shah resident of old Barzullah.
“They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where he remains in custody,” police said.
On their disclosure, police said, stolen property including 07 gold rings, 03 golden earrings and 02 Pounds were recovered from their possession. “Further investigation of the case is in progress,” police said.
