JAMMU, Nov 16: Phallian Mandal Police arrested a rapist within 24 hrs.
As per police sources, yesterday a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Post Phallian Mandal stating that her daughter has been allegedly raped by a man identified as Vinod Kumar alias Kaka, son of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Taku Tera tehsil Mandal inside a shop in Taku Tera area.
After conducting medical examination, the victim was handed over to her family.
Acting over the complaint, a case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Satwari and hunt has been launched to nab the alleged accused.
On specific information, a team from Police Post Phallian Mandal led by Inspector Anil Sharma under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Deepak Jasrotia arrested the accused rapist.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
