‘Hunar Se Rozgar’ function held

SRINAGAR, July 23: The convocation ceremony for the third and fourth batch of 80 students and 114 students of Tourist Facilitator Course under ‘Hunar  Se Rozgar’ programme was held by the Pir Panjal Brigade at Rampur today, an Army spokesman said.
He said that the chief guest, General Officer Commanding Dagger Division, distributed the certificates and offered letters to the students and congratulated them on their success.
All the students are being offered employment at Five Star properties like Vivanta-The Taj, Lalit-The Grand, Hotel Broadway, Khyber Hotels and SAK, he said.
The function was attended by a large section of population and was also graced by various functionaries of the local administration, the spokesman said.
He said that the training programme is a joint initiative by Army and Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Srinagar, under centre Government’s Tourism Ministry, and has provided a unique opportunity for self empowerment to unemployed youth of the far flung areas of Uri and Boniyar.
These courses include Food Production Course (Chef), Food and Beverage Service Course (waiter), Tourist Facilitators Course, Driving Skill Course etc, he said.
