VC UoL among world’s top 2 percent Scientists

JAMMU, Nov 18: Prof S K Mehta, Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh (UoL), has been listed among world’s top two percent Scientists declared by Stanford University, USA and Elsevier BV for the second consecutive time.
Stanford University released data for the top two percent of researchers across the world based on research publications in Oct 2021. This year around 2042 Scientists from Indian universities and educational institutions are among two percent of top Scientists in all areas of science.
Dr Mehta has carved a niche among the scientific fraternity in the field of Colloidal Chemistry and Nanochemistry. He has extensive research experience in the fabrication of different nanostructures and nano-assemblies, for diverse applications such as drug delivery, photocatalysis, sensing and bioactivity to name a few. He has more than 376 publications in international journals of repute with h-index of 52, Citation Index 9480, i10 226and is an author of about 20 books/chapters.
He is recipient of renowned DAAD and JSPS fellowships, Bronze medal from Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI), Authors Award by Royal Society of Chemistry (UK), etc.
