JAMMU, Nov 21: Central body Jammu of All J&K +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association Jammu conducted series of meetings with newly elected members at Kishtwar, Doda Ramban and Udhampur.
The visit was of its first kind after election in which Central body members interacted with +2 lecturers. The cadre members raised various genuine issues and problems being faced by the community and sought early redressal.
The meetings were organized at HSS Boys Kishtwar, HSS Ramban, HSS Udhampur and Doda where large number of lecturers participated.
In the meetings, +2 lecturers raised various issues seeking elimination of transfer clause from SRO 202, consideration of 2017 batch for next ATD,, placement of lecturers, review of existing transfer policy, modification of recent transfer orders of lecturers having health issues, elevation of senior lecturers as Principals, examining the eligibility of officers going to be promoted as Look After Principals, maintaining protocol while assigning examination duties, academic arrangements at +2 level, filling up of vacant posts of Principals, non vocational status for Principals, regularization of Principals, separate Education Administrative Service (EAS) and other important issues.
The participant also highlighted the issue of stagnation and said that the national builders are denied of career progression which is sort of exploitation. The district body members stressed that the demand of Modified Assured Career Progression MACP should be fulfilled on priority basis on the same analogy available to officers of other departments. They requested central body members to approach higher authorities and convince them to fulfill long cherished demand of ACP.
Manjeet Chib, president of the association, asked fellow members to facilitate the students and try their best to compensate the studies of the students.
M A Katoch, general secretary of the association said that this outreach programme was aimed to serve the purpose of strengthening the association at gross root level.
Others, who spoke, included Rishi Manhas, vice president of the association, Ajay Singh Baloria, Brijnandan Jamwal, Sanjeev Gupta, Sandeep Sharma and D Sanjay Arora.
