MENDHAR, Nov 22: The dead body of a young truck driver was found lying under mysterious circumstances near a school at Harmuta village near Harni under Gursai Police jurisdiction of Mendhar sub-division in Poonch district today.
Official sources said that an information about body was received by Police Station Gursai. The police party led by SHO reached the spot and took body in its possession and brought it to the Sub District Hospital Mendhar, where the doctors after conducting the post-mortem handed over to the relatives.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Riyaz (35), son of Mohammad Hussain, resident of village Harmuta in Harni area. The family has feared murder.
The brother of the deceased, Mohd Azam said that Riyaz had told the family members at home, that he was going with the truck and after that they did not know what happened to him.
Police said the proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been launched.
