Sham, IG CRPF call on Governor

SRINAGAR, July 24: Sham Lal Sharma, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
During their meeting, the Governor and the Minister discussed issues relating to the measures being taken for augmenting drinking water supply and irrigation facilities in various parts of the State to effectively meet the existing and the speedily emerging requirements. The utilization of the available resources under various Central schemes was also reviewed.
The Governor also discussed with Mr. Sharma the pressing water supply problems relating to Katra town and the entire shrine area.
Meanwhile, Nalin Prabhat, Inspector General (Operations), CRPF, Kashmir, called on Mr. Vohra and briefed him about the overall law and order situation in the Kashmir valley and about various issues relating to the role and responsibility being discharged by his force within the area of his responsibility, in coordination with the J&K Police, particularly in regard to the ongoing pilgrimage to Amarnathji.
This was Mr. Prabhat’s first meeting with the Governor after recently taking over as the Inspector General (Operations), CRPF, Kashmir.
