JU releases brochure of General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex

JAMMU, July 24: Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu today released the brochure of the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex at JU.
The brochure contains the detailed information regarding General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, its location, overview of Jammu, rules and regulations for hiring the GZSAC, tariff chart and some important instructions.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Ishar said that the Auditorium complex is the proud possession of the University of Jammu and the Auditorium acts as a bridge between the University and civil society on one hand and corporate sector on the other hand.
Earlier, Dr D L Chowdhary, Administrator, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex gave a brief history of the Auditorium Complex.  He said that the brochure would help in inviting educational institutions, Government Departments, NGOs, cultural and literary bodies, private and public sector and corporate houses to utilize the facilities available in the GZSAC.
General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, named after General Zorawar Singh, has a seating capacity of 1400 persons and is fully equipped with modern technology and hi-tech facilities. The Auditorium Complex houses the Art-Gallery named after Lotsava Rinchen Bzangpo, the Heritage Museum, Digital Language and Multimedia Lab, Satti Sahni Photo Gallery, Brainstorming room in the VVIP Complex with a seating capacity of 15 persons, VVIP Lounge with a Dining Hall and a Pantry having direct access to the stage, Exhibition Gallery, Centre for studies in Museology, Balcony (Mini Auditorium) with a seating capacity of 450 persons and a cafeteria.
Among others present on the occasion were Prof Keshav Sharma,  Prof  Satnam Kour, Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Prof Parmeshwari,  Jai Kumar Sharma, and others.
