One killed, 12 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, Nov 25: In two separate road accidents, one person died while 12 others were injured, here today.
A youth died and his associate sustained serious injuries when the Maruti car, they were travelling in, rolled down into deep gorge at Bdhota Tandi in Panchari area.
The deceased was identified as Joginder (22), son of Vishnu, resident of Chulna while the injured, undergoing treatment at hospital, was identified as Aju, son of Shoshi of Dhandi.
The Maruti car, bearing Registration Number JK02U-6265, was on its way from Dhandi to Lander when it met with accident near Bdhota. Police and locals shifted the victims to PHC Lander where one of them was declared as brought dead.
Meanwhile, 11 passengers were injured when a Tempo Traveller skidded off the road and turned turtle at Manad near Tikri on the National Highway Udhampur.
The Tempo Traveller, bearing Registration Number JK02AR-3674, was on its way from Kashmir to Jammu when it turned turtle because of bursting of its front tyre.
Tikri Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to PHC Tikri where three of them were referred to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition. They were identified as Rafeeq Ahmed, son of Mohamed Sultan of Khari, Abdul Rashid son of Jamaldin of Khari and Abdul Rashid son of Chopan Ahmed of Ramban.
Eight other injured were identified as Abdul Rashid son of Zamil Din of Khari, Mohd Zahid son of Rasheed, Shahid Chopen son of Ab Rehin, Sabzar Ahmd, son of Mohd Rafiq, Ab Rehman son of Ab Rafiq, Habeeb son of Razak, Gulam Hussain son of Zomal ( all residents of Khari) and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Ahmed Din of Mahore.
