SRINAGAR, Nov 25: J&K People’s Conference leader, Abdul Gani Vakil while expressing deep concern over power crisis in the Valley today said that unscheduled power cuts have aggravated woes of people in valley especially in Rafiabad.
He said despite a load-shedding schedule announced by the Government, unscheduled and frequent power cuts continue unabated and people are facing massive inconvenience due to power cuts.
Vakil said power cuts are randomised in Rafiabad and PDC has totally failed to implement  its own given schedule. It is preposterous that people have been forced to go without electricity for days together even in the metered areas. The power crisis is worse in non-metered areas where people are rendered helpless in the absence of electricity.
While touring different villages of Rafibad today including Kangroosa ,Nowpora Kalan, Dangiwacha, Reban and Hadipora, Vakil further maintained that the present power crisis has exposed the tall claims of UT administration of enhancing energy supply.
There is no schedule for power which is causing lot of inconvenience to general public especially the old and ailing as well as students who are appearing in examination.
Vakil stressed of UT Govt to implement its own schedule in letter and spirits so that people in general & students in particular will not suffer.
Besides others, who accompanied Vakil include senior leaders Haji G N Shah, Ghulam Hassan Lone, Tariq Ahmad Mir, Tariq Ahmad Khan, Mohd Muzzafar Naikoo and Haji Ghulam Nabi Malla.
