JAMMU, July 25: A permanent Lok Adalat for MACT cases was held in the district Court Complex, Janipur under the chairmanship of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, Kartar Singh.
The bench for the Lok Adalat was headed by 2nd Additional District & Sessions Judge, Jammu, S C Gupta and assisted by Presiding Officer MACT Court, Jammu, Sanjay Dhar. A total of 52 cases were taken up, of which, 16 cases were settled. An amount of Rs.39,04,000 was awarded as compensation.
The next Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on August 5, 2013.
