JAMMU, Nov 30: Janta Dal United (JDU) State general secretary, Sanjay Dhar, Vivek Bali secretary J&K ,Piaray Lal Pandita chairman migrants J&K and State spokesperson Gohar Wani today called on Commissioner Secretary, DMRRR on the directions of party president J&K, G.M.Shaheen to highlight the genuine problems being faced by migrants.
They discussed the problems of Kashmiri migrants faced by them both at Jammu and in Kashmir with the Commissioner Secretary DMRRR. They raised the problems viz, repair and renovation of internally dilapidated migrant quarters of Jammu ,regular supply of water in TRT Nagrota, regular supply of pure drinking water in all camps of Jammu and Kashmir, construction of boundary wall in Natnusa camp Baramulla, proper drainage system in all J&K migrant camps, adequate accommodation for those PM package employees working Valley who live on rent basis outside and have accommodation problem, construction of pending PM package quarters in the Valley on war footing basis, setting up of First Aid centers and ration stores in all transit camps of Kashmir, S O 194 ambit may kindly got abolished, besides issuance of appointment orders at an earliest regarding PM package fresh selected Class IV to avoid problems to be faced due to snow fall in the Valley.
They also demanded that One Room quarters at Purkhoo be got renovated for accommodating deserving families, construction of four dug wells in Jagti, long pending demand of allotment of shops in all transit camps in Jammu, construction of boundary wall with gates in Jagti, including installation of two exit entry police posts for ensuring frequent check up of outsiders, Yoga/Skill Development centers be established at Jagti, including development of Sports Stadium, enhancement of monthly cash assistance of Kashmiri migrants from Rs.13000 to Rs. 25000, regular supply of ration in transit camps of Kashmir etc.
Commissioner Secretary, DMRRR assured them that the problems listed during the meeting are already under his consideration and will be taken up seriously with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
