1 killed, 5 injured in accidents

SRINAGAR, July 26: One person was killed and 5 other injured in road accidents across the Valley today.
A police spokesman said that Mohammad Ashraf Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Kralpora, Budgam, was severely injured when he had taken his head out from the window of a Swift car JK01N/7077, while vomiting.
He was hit by an unknown load carrier at Kralpora. He was shifted to hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
The spokesman said a cycle rider, Shabir Ahmad Zadoo, son of Ghulam Mohudin resident of Bhat Mohalla Nowgam, Sumbal, was injured when a Sumo, JK01K/9969, hit him at Bus Stand Nowgam. He said Zadoo was shifted to hospital for treatment.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian, Rehman Teeli, son-in-law of Abdul Rehman Teeli of Waskura, Ganderbal at Panzinarah Sumbal. He was removed to JVC Srinagar for treatment.
In another accident, a Tata Sumo JK04B/8007 and Innova vehicle JK01T/0272 collided near Nilgrath National Highway, Sonamarg, resulting in injuries to the Sumo driver Irshad Ahmad Parry, son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Check Kawoosa Magam, Budgam. Parray was shifted to Public Health Center Sonamarg.
In another accident, an unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian near Fruit Mandi Parimpora, Srinagar. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura for treatment.
In a similar accident, a Maruti car JKO1D/2168 hit and injured a lady, Hadiya daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Hyderpora.
The injured lady was shifted to hospital for treatment.
