JAMMU, July 26: Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla today felicitated Jammu and Kashmir Combined Competitive Examination topper Neha Sharma of Trikuta Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhalla said that youth of Jammu and Kashmir have ample talent and calibre to bring laurels for State and they have proved their mettle in various fields .He called upon the students to work hard and strive to achieve their goals and work for the development of the State and nation.
He said, ‘education sector is the priority of the Government’, adding that in this regard Government is making all out efforts to upgrade educational institutions with improved infrastructure so that the students can avail quality education.
The Minister congratulated Dr Neha for her splendid performance and wished her a bright career ahead He called upon the parents to ensure education of their children specially the girl child and urged upon the students to follow the path of this topper who has set a benchmark with their hard work.
Later, a deputation of Trikuta Nagar Sector-1 met the Minister and apprised him about the encroachment in a nallah. They informed that this has caused lots of problem to the people as the chocked water outlet has caused damage to their property.
Mr. Bhalla directed the accompanied JMC and UEED officers to immediate remove the encroachment and debris from the nallah so that the people of the area get relief from the problem.
