JAMMU : A small batch of 440 pilgrims today left for the Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas amid rains from Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar base camp in this winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A batch, comprising 284 males, 62 females, eight children and
86 sadhus, left for the Amarnath cave shrine in a convoy of 16 vehicles including 13 private and SRTC buses and one light motor vehicle and two motorbikes,” official spokesperson said.
He said the first bus left at around 0450 hrs and the last at 0500 hrs.
