Copper remains weak on sluggish industrial demand

NEW DELHI, July 27:  Copper remained weak and traded Rs 2 per kg lower on the local non-ferrous metal market due to sluggish demand from consuming industries.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries mainly put pressure on copper prices.
In the national capital, copper scrap mixed scrap fell further Rs 2 to Rs 404 per kg.
The following are today’s metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 109-115, nickel plate (4×4) 1,029-1,032 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 404, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 147, lead imported 143, aluminium ingots 142, sheet cutting 143, aluminium wire scrap 146 and aluminium utensils scrap 142. (PTI)
