SAMBA, Dec 5: Vijaypur police has arrested three persons including a councilor for allegedly raping a lady singer two days back.
Police said on receipt of a complaint, it registered a FIR against the councilor Ward 2, Rajan Sharma, a property dealer Sonu Choudhary and Sunny Sharma under Section 376 IPC and arrested them.
The lady in her complaint has alleged that the trio had invited her for a musical programme in Sanmeri village Vijaypur two days back and where they forcefully committed rape on her.
The police on the basis of complaint arrested the trio and it is investigating the matter.
