MENDHAR, July 28: A minor boy, studying in class 8th of a local private school drowned in a nallah here today.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Irshad, son of Mohd Riaz, resident of village Tappa Phera. The incident took place when the students of Grace Mission International School, Dhaki Mendhar had gone to nearby play field along with Physical Education teacher. After playing football, some boys slipped away and went to the nearby nallah for bathing. The teacher had also left the ground. While bathing, 14-year-old Mohd Irshad drowned. His body was later fished out by the locals. The police registered a case of negligence against the school teacher and started investigation. The teacher-Sangma has also been detained by police in this connection.
