SAMBA, July 28: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pardeep Gupta today inaugurated a newly established footwear unit sponsored by KVIB under PMEGP at Industrial Growth centre near SIDCO guest house here.
Divisional Commissioner said that several steps have been taken by the State Government to help the revival of closed and promotion of new industrial units in the State by providing easy clearance of formalities to facilitate the entrepreneurs. He stressed for a change in the mindset of the unemployed youth towards entrepreneurship to become job providers instead of job seekers.
Deputy Commissioner Samba R. K. Varma also spoke on the occasion and said that Government has launched several welfare schemes for the betterment of the people and directed the officers to encourage the people to take the benefit from these schemes. He also impressed upon the officers of KVIB to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach to the real beneficiaries timely.
Secretary/CEO KVIB Ravinder Singh briefed about the activities of the department. He informed that KVIB Samba sponsored this unit by providing 24.78 lakh loan and 6.20 lakh as subsidy.
District Officer KVIB Samba Santosh Saraf also briefed about the activities of the department.
