JAMMU, Dec 12: J&K BJP held a workshop of its Good Governance & Center State Coordination Department at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
The workshop was inaugurated by State, convener of Good Governance, Department, Arun Gupta, co-conveners, Ajay Baru, Vijay Shastri and Akshay Sharma. The conveners and co-conveners of 17 organizational districts of Jammu Division participated in it.
Arun Gupta, convener of J&K UT while interacting, discussed good governance with the participants seeking suggestions and views. He said that India is the oldest nation and the largest democracy in the world. The foreign invaders, including Islamic and British, not only looted the wealth of the country but also destroyed and corrupted our cultural, economic, social, religious and political system. They not only used to rule but to oppress the people, so their rule cannot be called good governance for their mentality of robbing our country and making people slaves.
Bharat Ratna, Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s period can be called the golden age of good governance so BJP celebrates his birthday as Good Governance Day. After the 2014 general elections, there was a revolutionary change in Indian politics, Modi Government worked for the upliftment of the poor. For the upliftment of the citizens, Government announced to implement hundreds of public interest schemes. In order to effectively implement the schemes, BJP formed the Department of Good Governance and Center State Coordination, he added.
Ajay Baru, in his inaugural address, while introducing the Good Governance Coordination Department said that why Department was needed and what is its work and what is the importance of our work?
Dr. Akshay Sharma gave information about the schemes run by the Central and State Government in public interest.
State co-convener, Vijay Shastri, said that the Department will organize the programmes of birth celebrations at their respective district and all the elected representatives like DDC, BDC, councilors, Sarpanchs, Panchs will participate in those programmes.
