Sir,
Refer article ‘Secularism Vs Communalism’ DE July 26.
The countrymen should remain quite vigilant against the actions of political parties during forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The politicians have started dividing people on religious and caste lines. These political parties should be given no opportunity to exploit the sentiments of people. The polarisation of society on religious lines is fraught with dangerous consequences. The parties that address the concerns of people like unemployment, crime, price rise, security education and food should be voted to power.
The Election Commission of India too should keep a strict watch over speeches leaders make during elections. Those indulging in petty politics should be debarred from contesting elections. India cannot afford division on caste or religious lines at a time when the country is infested with terrorist and naxalism.
Yours etc….
