SRINAGAR, July 29: KAS Association delegation today met Chief Secretary and apprised him about various issues pertaining to the KAS fraternity.
The delegation highlighted various issues relating to the cadre management of KAS including promotions and postings.
Chief Secretary was informed about the resentment of KAS officers against the postings of non-KAS officers against the cadre-posts and demanded that all such arrangements be withdrawn immediately and all these posts may be filled-up by eligible and suitable KAS officers.
The delegation drew the attention of Chief Secretary towards the recent Government order where under the charge of Director Estates has been given to Joint Development Commissioner, Works, (Chief Engineer).
