SAMBA, Dec 15: A newly married woman died in a road accident in Samba district late last night.
According to the information, a couple traveling on a motorcycle in the Nud area of Samba suddenly fell on the road after their bike skidded. The husband -wife duo travelling on the motorcycle were seriously injured.
The injured were brought to the District Hospital Samba by the local people, where the woman died during treatment and her husband is under going treatment in the hospital. According to the information, they were residents of Surinsar, who were coming towards Nud for some work. The newly married woman has been identified as Shabana Begum (19) and the injured has been identified as Saif Ali resident Surinsar. The dead body has been handed over to the relatives for the last rites after legal formalities. In this connection the police has registered a case and started further action.
The another accident took place at Pandit Premnath Dogra Bus Stand in Samba where a gas tanker coming from Pathankot side collided with a tipper while trying to save the car. However, no one was injured in the accident. After the accident, there was a long traffic jam on the Highway for some time.
