Pilgrim couple arrested for theft at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan

KATRA, July 29: Within hours, Police succeeded to solve a theft at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan and arrest the accused couple besides recovery of stolen cash as well as others items.
The arrested accuseds have been identified as Ramesh Keshav and his wife Reema Keshav of Alam Sara Tehsil Sambal in District Muradabad (UP), who had allegedly.
stolen a cash of rupees 70000 and a Mobile phone of another pilgrim Nirmla Devi.

According to police, Nirmala Devi alongwith her husband had come to the Bhawan for darshans of holy cave. The accused couple accompanied them from Ludhiana Railway Station and reached the holy cave on July 27 night and stayed there. Next day, the accused persons as well as the complainant kept their belonging and luggage in one locker and went for darshans. The accused after performing darhsans came back to clock room number 2 and fled after removing cash of rupees 70000 and mobile phone from the complainant bag.
When the complainant alongwith her husband returned back to get their luggage, they found their bags lying on the floor. On inspection of their luggage they found their small bag carrying cash and mobile missing. On this all Police Check Posts on the track were activated nakas were laid and during naka/checking the accused persons were apprehended near Inderprastha Bhojanalya at Adhkuwari by Police and formally arrested in case FIR No. 03/2013 U/S 380/ RPC.
