JAMMU, Dec 18: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Dwarka Choudhary here today started road blacktopping work at Wazir Lane of Preet Nagar in Sanjay Nagar Jammu area of Ward number 46.
A large number of locals of the area and JMC staff was also present on the occasion prominent among which were S. Chatter Singh, Secretary Gurdwara Sahib Preet Nagar; S. Lali Singh, Vijay Kumar, S. Sajjan Singh, S. Pola Singh, Sukhdev Singh, S. Harbhajan Singh, Surinder Singh and others.
A handout stated that the road blacktopping was the long pending demand of the people of the area and the same will be now completed at an expenditure of Rs. 10 lakh.
The Councillor said that recently the work of road blacktopping and tile laying which he started has been completed at an expenditure of Rs. 42 lakh at Sanjay Nagar, Sector 4 while the work on the park at Rani Talab is going on in Sanjay Nagar and many drain works in the Ward have also been completed.
