NEW DELHI, July 30: Akbar Art Gallery, Srinagar, J&K was awarded certificate of merit 2011-12 in Papier Machie category during 19th export award programme, held here today.
On the occasion, Dr KS Rao, Union Minister of Textiles was the chief guest, while Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Minister of State for Textiles Panabaaka Lakshmi, Zohra Chatterji, Secretary (Textiles), SS Gupta, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Rakesh Kumar, ED-EPCH, members of committee of administration and awardees were also present.
Chairman of EPCH presented the welcome address and informed that the today’s function is 19th in the series.
He said that EPCH is distributing a total of 65 awards to companies in different segment and categories. 6 awards and special recommendations will also be given for life time achievements to individuals and institutions contribution towards export promotion.
These awards are based on the export performance on all India bases and also on regional basis. There are certificates for women entrepreneurs, he informed.
