JAMMU, July 30: Vigilance Organization today presented challan against Balwan Singh, the then Patwari Halqa Floura Nagbani, who was caught red-handed on November 14, 2011, in the court of Special Judge Anticorruption.
According to the Vigilance case, one Sardari Lal lodged a written complaint stating that he had applied for Nakal Jamabandi of his 8 kanal of land situated at village Ladore, Jammu. However, Patwari Balwan Singh demanded Rs 5000 as bribe from the complainant for issuance of the Nakal Jamabandi.
On the basis of complaint, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap and caught Patwari red handed while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 5000 from the complainant.
