JAMMU, Dec 22: Five days “National Art Workshop” organized by IMFA, University of Jammu was today inaugurated by Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar in presence of world renowned critic, researcher and poet Dr Taqi Abid from Canada.
Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik, Principal IMFA, other faculty members, students and civil society members were also present on the occasion.
Speaking during the inauguration function, Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar said that from the last many months, IMFA is organizing activities not only in the campus but outside Jammu District.
On this occasion, a thought provoking lecture was also delivered by Dr Taqi Abid on the topic “Relationship of Urdu with Music”.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Prof Shohab Inayat Malik discussed various projects undertaken by IMFA in the past.
The whole program was co-ordinated by Dr Milan Sharma, HoD Painting. The students of Kashmir University, Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi, Kurukshetra University and Banaras Hindu University participated in five day long workshop.
