JPDCL conducts inspections on pilot feeder, imposes over Rs 1 lakh penalty

JAMMU, Dec 24: On the directions of MD JPDCL Shiv Anant Tayal, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) Gangyal led by PD Singh Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II, Gandhi Nagar AEE Nitin Mahajan carried out massive drive to disconnect illegal connections at Greater Kailash.
As per official spokesman, it was informed that a total of 50 inspections were conducted and 22 defaulters were identified and a total of 42 KW load was revised. The consumers were advised to enhance their load according to the electric equipment installed at their premise so that appropriate capacity distribution transformers could be installed in their vicinity. A total of penalty amounting to Rs 1,32,222 was imposed on the erring consumers.
Various restaurants and commercial establishments were also inspected during the drive and the meter readings of those installations were checked to ensure complete transparency. People of the area were sensitized towards paying electricity bills so that the deficit of power revenue could be increased.
Those who participated in the drive include Nitin Mahajan, Assistant Executive Engineer, Junior Engineer Sudesh Sharma, Sarvinder Singh, Rohit Kumar, Rajeev Abrol, Darshan Kumar, Amar Bharti, Sat Kumar, Kuldeep Singh among others.
