SRINAGAR, Dec 24: The Govt Medical College (GMC), Srinagar today terminated another ANM worker at GB Panth Hospital Sonwar for being “habitual” of unauthorized absence from her duties.
The GMC said that the Administrative Department forwarded the application of Shazia Manzoor, wife of Muzaffar Ahmad Kasab resident of Nowgan Shangas, Anantnag, ANM, (GB Panth/ Children Hospital) wherein they have requested to furnish the comments and leave account statement in respect of her application for grant of permission for 12 months leave without salary along with station permission;
“Medical Superintendent Govt. GB Panth / Children Hospital Srinagar…reported that the said official is absconding from her legitimate duties w.e.f 05-07-2021 and has left the station unauthorisedly neither submitting any leave application form nor has sought any station leaving permission from the competent authority,” GMC said.
It said that the leave for “one year leave without pay” was rejected and the Administrative Department was accordingly intimated that her services cannot be spared as the department is facing an acute dearth of nursing staff.
The GMC said that the ANM worker failed to resume her duties and subsequently another notice was served to her wherein she was again impressed to resume her duties otherwise process for termination of her services shall be initiated.
The GMC said that it issued “Last and Final Show Cause Notice” to the said absconding through local daily Newspapers wherein a final opportunity was provided to her to resume her duties by or before 20th of November 2021.
“The said ANM is habitual of remaining on unauthorised absence as her unauthorised absence case was previously settled as “Dies Non” with a stern direction not to repeat such practice in future failing which her case will be processed for termination without any prior notice,” GMC said.
While detailing her case, the GMC said that the appointment of Shazia Manzoor, wife of Muzaffar Ahmad for Kasab R/o Nowgan Shangas Anantnag, as ANM, Govt. Medical College Srinagar (Govt. GB Panth/Children Hospital) is hereby terminated with effect.
