UDHAMPUR, Dec 24: Udhampur police have worked out a theft case in jewellers shop and recovered the stolen gold items besides arresting three thieves involved in the crime.
The theft had taken place in the jewellery shop of Vishal Abrol of Shiv Nagar Udhampur and a case FIR number 482/21, under section 457/380 was registered in this connection at Police Station Udhampur.
During investigation, a team led by SHO Chaman Gorka, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur, conducted various raids in different locations and zeroed in some suspects.
During the sustained questioning of these suspects, two of them broke down and confessed the commission of offence. On their disclosure, stolen gold ornaments were recovered.
The accused have been identified as Gallu Massi, son of Shafi Massi, resident of Shiv Nagar, Suresh Kumar, son of Jagdev Kumar of Garhi and Rampal, son of Bansi Lal of Roun Domail Udhampur.
