JAMMU, Dec 29: A dismissed cop has been arrested for assaulting Tehsildar in Akhnoor.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Tehsildar Akhnoor with Police Station Akhnoor stating that a dismissed cop-cum-shopkeeper identified as Narayan Prasad, son of late Tilak Raj, a resident of Ward Number 2 Akhnoor assaulted him when he was sealing his shop under Section 145 CrPC.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 323/2021 under Sections 353 and 504 IPC has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and the accused dismissed cop has been arrested.
