JAMMU, Dec 29: Residents of Panchayat Malhut and Ujhan Darhal village today held protest and blocked Darhal-Rajouri Road.
People of Ward number 6 (Panchayat Malhut) staged protest at about 9:30 am at village Korhmang in connection with installation of a water pump. They raised slogans against Sarpanch Anwer Hussain and objected to his move to install the water pump at a place in village Kohrmang where a water pump is already installed. The protest ended at about 10:50 am after local police reached the spot and talked to the people.
Another protest held at Captain Morh, Ujhan over excessive power cuts, at about 11:30 am. People of village Ujhan Darhal blocked the Darhal Rajouri Road. They raised slogans against the Power Development Department for excessive and unscheduled power cuts.
