JAMMU, Jan 3: A Shopping Mall in Srinagar spread over 500,000 square feet will be developed by Emaar Group of Dubai.
An agreement to this effect has been signed between the Government of Dubai and Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate investments into marquee projects.
Sources told the Excelsior that this is first major Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Emaar, which will develop the Shopping Mall in Srinagar, is UAE’s real estate development company.
The UAE is strategic partner of India and the two countries have strong bilateral relationship based on common interests.
