Bhandari demands release of emoluments of VDCs

JAMMU, Jan 4: Member Civil Society, Kishtwar and Congress leader, Shamsher Singh Bhandari has demanded immediate release of emoluments to Villager Defence Committee (VDC) members in erstwhile Doda district who have not been paid the same for a long time.
Bhandari has made an appeal to Union Home Minister, Amit Shah in this regard and sought his immediate intervention in the matter. He also demanded improvement in power supply in the erstwhile Doda district and restoration of power and water supply in the areas where it has been snapped due to heavy snowfall. Besides, Bhandari demanded employment of the local people in under construction power projects in the Kishtwar district.
He also appealed the people to strengthen the Congress party which has always championed the cause of masses. He said Congress activists have full faith in the leadership of party president JK UT, G A Mir, working president, Raman Bhalla and their team of office bearers.
