Srinagar, Jan 5: A fire incident today damaged staff quarters of the famous Grand Lalit Hotel here, however, there was no loss of life reported due to the blaze
As per the officials, the fire emerged from the quarters housing the staff members of the hotel and soon spread to other sections.
“It is a single-story tin-roofed structure with 4 residential rooms and one storeroom that were involved in the fire,” the officials said.
They said that soon after the incident, 3 fire tenders rushed to the spot and the flames were brought under control.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of B. A. Shah Deputy Director of Fire and Emergency Services and Divisional Fire Officer, City, Tasaduq Ahmad.
The officials said that the cause of the fire appears to be a short circuit; but, they said that the same was not ascertained yet.
