JAMMU, Jan 6: Nagrota Police arrested a man in abetment to suicide case.
As per police sources, a man namely Dilawar Singh, son of Pitambar Singh of Sidhra Bye Pass set himself on fire by pouring kerosene oil owing to some land dispute with his neighbour Karan Singh, son of Basant Singh of Sidhra District Jammu on December 31, 2021.
In the incident, the wife of the victim Poonam Devi also received burn injuries while saving her husband and died during treatment on January 2, 2022 at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the lady was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
The man was under treatment in Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu, where he also breathed his last today morning.

However, a case under FIR Number 12/2022 under Section 306 IPC has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and alleged accused Karan Singh has been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
