RAMBAN, Jan 7: Police arrested truck owner and driver along with 8 kilograms poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Ramban during checking at Shan Palace intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB 07Z-7091 which was on its way from Kashmir towards Jammu.
During checking, police team recovered 8 kilograms poppy straw from the cabin of the truck and arrested the owner and driver of the truck.
The arrested owner of the truck was identity as Hardeep Singh, son of Santokh Singh and driver as Dilsher Singh, son of Mejor Singh, both residents of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 05/2022 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Ramban and investigation set into motion.
Police team led by SHO Ramban Inspector Sandeep Charak made the arrest under supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Pardeep Singh Sen and SP Ramban Mohita Sharma.
