JAMMU, Jan 8: Chowk Chabutra Police arrested a man and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Chowk Chabutra led by PSI Jyoti Choudhary laid a naka and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking.
On seeing cops, the pedestrian tried to escape but was overpowered after a brief chases.
During checking, police team recovered 177 grams cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Aditya Gupta, son of Ashok Kumar Gupta of Talab Tillo, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 03/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Pacca Danga and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Raghubir Choudhary, SDPO City North Sharad Kalu and SP City North Kulbir Handa.
