JAMMU, Jan 8: City Judge Jammu Manjeet Rai has rejected the bail application of one Aftab Hussain, who was involved in attempt to murder case.
After hearing APP Arvind Rathore for the Police whereas Advocate Bari Abdullah for the applicant, the court observed, “the accused is allegedly involved in the offences under Section 307/323 IPC and the offence under Section 307 IPC is non-bailable and serious in nature, as such, the accused cannot claim bail as a matter of right”.
“Moreover, it would be premature to comment on the evidence collected till date as the investigation of the case is at its initial stage. The injured is still undergoing treatment and struggling with his life in GMC, Jammu. The accused/applicant does not deserve any leniency in grant of bail”, the court said.
